1. Enable POP in your MaineStream.us account. Don't forget to click Save Changes when you're done.
2. Open Outlook.
3. Click the Tools menu and select Accounts...
4. Click Add, and click Mail...
5. Enter your name in the Display Name: field, and click Next.
6. Enter your full MaineStream.us email address (youremail@mainestream.us) in the Email address field, and click Next.
7. Enter "pop.gmail.com" in the Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP): field.
8. Enter "smtp.gmail.com" in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: field.
9. Click Next.
10. Enter your name in the Display name: field, and click Next.
11. Enter your MaineStream.us email address in the Email Address: field, and click Next.
12. Enter your MaineStream.us email address in the Account Name: field.
13. Enter your password in the Password: field, and click Next.

14. Click Finish.
15. Highlight pop.gmail.com under Account and click Properties.
16. Click the Advanced tab.
17. Fill in the following information.
• Check the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL) under Outgoing Mail (SMTP).
• Enter 465 in the Outgoing mail (SMTP): field.
• Under Outgoing Mail (SMTP), check the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL).
• Under Incoming mail (POP3), check the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL). The port will change to 995.

18. Click on the Servers tab, and check the box next to My server requires authentication.

19. Click the OK button.
20. Download the latest updates for Outlook from Microsoft. Outlook 2002 had many bug fixes through it's lifecycle.

You should be good to go now!
